We have adopted the following privacy policy which has been made known to all employees (including temporary staff and hereafter referred to as "all employees"). 2. Handling of Personal Information

(1)Purpose of Use of Personal Information

  1. 1. Proposing and conducting financial statement audits, internal control audits, other assurance services, support for the construction and evaluation of internal control systems, support for conversion to overseas standards, compliance-related work, support for internal audits, advisory services related to risk management, and various other services.
  2. 2. Providing of information through our publications (including via the email or the Website) and information on sales and subscription of such publications.
  3. 3. Information and administrative matters on seminars and work shops.
  4. 4. Selection at the time of recruitment of all employees and personnel management after being hired.
  5. 5. Social action programs, such as recommendation/ statistics/ research on services specified in 1. and in response to consultation from public agencies.
  6. 6. Response to your queries.

The above purpose of use will be announced in the privacy policy on our Website. In case personal information is to be received directly from you, the purpose of use will be specified to you in advance.

(2) Shared Use

Personal information collected may be shared and used within the scope of the above purpose of use by member firms of the PricewaterhouseCoopers network (including PricewaterhouseCoopers Co., Ltd. and Zeirishi-Hojin PricewaterhouseCoopers) if this is required for conducting our business or for the provision or improvement of global services by the PricewaterhouseCoopers network of firms. Personal information to be shared and used will be as follows. Personal information may be provided to PricewaterhouseCoopers member firms in writing, via email or in electronic form.

  • ･Name, age, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, workplace, department, job title.
  • ･Matters relating to inquiries or services to be provided.
  • ･Matters contributing to the provision or improvement of global services by the member firms of the PricewaterhouseCoopers network.

In accordance with Article 23-2 of the Privacy Protection Law, upon your request PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata will stop the provision of your personal information or data that include such information to PricewaterhouseCoopers member firms.

(3) Implementation of Security Measures

In order to ensure the accuracy and security of personal information, PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata will implement security measures including information security measures to prevent unauthorized access and to protect personal information from loss, destruction, falsification and leakage. PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata will also promptly correct any security measures if it is recognized that an improvement is required.
Furthermore, PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata will establish personal information protection rules and management system based on this policy and make ongoing efforts to review and improve such rules and system.

(4) Organization/Structure

A person responsible for the management of personal data will be appointed to every line of business within PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata to ensure that such information is managed appropriately. Training sessions will be provided to all employees on the protection and appropriate management of personal information for making thoroughly known the appropriate handling of personal information in daily business.

The procedures for responding to requests to disclose (notification of purpose of use, disclosure, amendment, addition, deletion, cessation of use, elimination, cessation of provision to third parties) personal data possessed by PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata are as follows.
